Do I need equipment?

In most cases, you’ll only need a smartphone or laptop and a bit of open space; if your therapist decides that a band, strap, or other tool would meaningfully aid in your recovery, we’ll ship the recommended item to your door, at no extra cost, to package clients.

Do I need a referral from a healthcare provider?

Accepted Answer

No! Florida’s direct-access law lets you begin physical-therapy treatment without a referral for up to 30 calendar days after your initial evaluation. If your plan of care needs to continue beyond that window, we’ll coordinate with your physician—sending a prescription request or a detailed plan of care for signature—so you stay compliant without extra legwork.

Does telehealth physical therapy work?

Yes! A 2024 umbrella review in the Journal of Medical Internet Research, that combined 35 earlier studies, found video-based rehab eased pain and improved function just as well as standard clinic visits for most muscle-and-joint problems*. A separate 2024 meta-analysis on knee-replacement patients showed virtual PT matched in-person care for rebuilding strength and mobility**.

Is telehealth right for me?

For the vast majority of musculoskeletal and movement conditions, yes—our Florida-licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy successfully treat chronic back and neck pain, shoulder impingement, rotator-cuff tears, hip and knee osteoarthritis, Pre-Hab, post-surgical rehab (ACL reconstruction, total joint replacement), sports injuries, Sciatica, tendonitis (Achilles, patellar, Golfer’s/Tennis elbow), plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, balance deficits, posture problems, ergonomic strain, and osteoporosis-related weakness—all via secure video sessions. In the rare event that your case requires hands-on mobilization, emergency care, or specialized diagnostics beyond what telehealth can provide, we’ll recommend alternate forms of care.

What forms of payment does ZŌLY accept?

We currently accept Zelle, major credit/debit cards,, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) funds. Upon request—will issue a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurer, for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

ZOLY is a statewide, Florida-licensed telehealth practice—meaning your living room, office, or hotel room, becomes the clinic. Whether you’re in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, the Space Coast, or anywhere else within Florida’s borders, our Doctors of Physical Therapy can meet you virtually, as long as you are physically in the state at the time of your session.
